REGULAR FIRST AID TRAINING FOR TEACHERS TO ENHANCE EMERGENCY RESPONSE AND SAFETY IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

At Busy Bees Global Preschool, children’s safety is always our top priority. Each year, teaching and non-teaching staff across our campuses participate in mandatory first aid training sessions to reinforce practical skills and improve their ability to respond effectively and accurately to emergency situations in preschool settings.

FIRST AID TRAINING
Teachers practise Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) on child-sized medical manikins under the direct guidance of certified professionals
FIRST AID TRAINING
Regular training lays the foundation for safety in every classroom session at Busy Bees

In our most recent training, the programme was structured around real-life medical scenarios that teachers may encounter in early years environments. From respiratory arrest, unconsciousness, and airway obstruction, to nosebleeds, seizures, and minor external injuries all situations were thoroughly practised using child-specific medical manikins designed to replicate the physiological characteristics of young children.

FIRST AID TRAINING
Choking rescue techniques, including the Heimlich manoeuvre, are practised in age-appropriate formats for preschoolers
FIRST AID TRAINING
Every technique is carefully rehearsed to ensure precision and timeliness in real-life emergencies
FIRST AID TRAINING
Teachers receive expert guidance in controlling bleeding and providing first aid for minor injuries

Teachers were instructed directly on essential emergency techniques, such as internationally standardised CPR procedures, age-appropriate back blows and abdominal thrusts (Heimlich manoeuvre) to relieve choking, and the proper response to nosebleeds or minor bleeding. More importantly, each technique was embedded with the principle of staying calm and acting swiftly two critical elements to ensure maximum safety for young children during unexpected incidents.

FIRST AID TRAINING
Staying calm, applying correct techniques, and responding swiftly are key components of effective CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
FIRST AID TRAINING
Child-specific training manikins closely simulate young children’s physiology, enabling teachers to practise with real-world accuracy
FIRST AID TRAINING
Each training session strengthens teachers’ readiness to ensure children’s safety
FIRST AID TRAINING
From knowledge to action, Busy Bees teachers are always prepared to protect children in any situation
FIRST AID TRAINING
Busy Bees emphasises hands-on training to equip our educators with the confidence and competence they need

These training sessions not only enhance professional competencies, but also boost the confidence and readiness of teachers to safeguard their students with responsibility, professionalism, and genuine care. This initiative is a vital component of the comprehensive professional development programme at Busy Bees, aiming to cultivate a safe, secure, and high-quality early childhood education environment for every child.
